Baby's birthday is delayed!

Well my due date has come and almost gone, and still no real-life baby to report on.  I did have a doctor's appointment this morning and the doctor said many things very fast, none of which George understood.  But I did catch that as of now my cervix is "unfavorable." So they are thinking about inducing me a week from Thursday, unless I have more progress before then.  Next tuesday night I plan to go to Scalini's, an italian restaurant famous for their eggplant parmesan...famous because it supposedly puts pregnant women into labor within 48 hours.  For further enlightenment click here.  I don't even know if I like eggplant, but it sounds better than being induced so I do hope I get a chance to try it...

As far as feeling ready, I decided this morning that I was finally ready to have a baby, mostly because it is getting too uncomfortable to sleep, and every time I turn side to side I feel the gravity of the baby shift to the other side of my belly and it's just weird and I don't like it.  I guess I should finish packing my hospital bag tonight since I'm finally ready mentally. Well, kind of.  Anyway, these photos are from a photo shoot last week.

Also this week, about 4 days ago George found a wolf spider in our garage. If you know George you will know that it is a big deal that he trapped it.  It was trapped under an upside down jar on our back step and just yesterday he mustered up the courage to put the lid on the jar and bring it inside the house.  He insists on keeping it as a pet to help him get over his arachnophobia, lovely, no?. I did actually feel bad for it today though because it hasn't eaten or anything so I tried to pour some water down the air holes, but it didn't work. At least I tried? Spiders are good luck in the Czech Republic, as we unfortunately found out while we were over there, so that is George's excuse for keeping it. But as my mom pointed out today, not if they die inside of your house!  We will see what happens.
