Easter

After a wonderful day at church, We all came home and Eva had a teeny tiny egg hunt. It consisted of me putting 3 eggs on the ground for her to "find." She had a reeeally hard time grabbing them because they were so stinking slippery!

Then Eva moved on to the plastic they came in, which entertained her much longer. And finally she found her metal basket. Oh how she loves metal.

I'd also like to give a shout out to my tulips, which weren't around for Easter, but in my mind they are synonymous with the holy day.

Puj Hug!

I was lucky enough to be selected to be a product tester for the revolutionary new baby bath towel 

from Puj, called the Puj Hug. If you've never heard of Puj, it is a fantastic company started by a mom who comes up with her own solutions/designs for baby products to simplify parenthood.

Like I said, I got their new infant towel to try out and review. The towel is awesome in that it has 2 interlocking tabs that are super-duper easy to hook around your neck.

These tabs make it easy to have the towel around your neck 

before even starting bath time (if desired), but most importantly 

they simplify the whole getting-the-slippery-baby-safely-

out-of-the-tub-while-staying-dry process. 

            With the towel hooked around your neck, you just pick baby up

and hold her to your left shoulder. You then unhook the tabs 

with your right hand and bring the tabbed hood over baby's head. 

And then you get to snuggle!

Obviously the idea is genius. But also the quality of the towel is great; it is quite nice and plush. I will say I wish it were slightly bigger. With Eva being pleasantly plump (22ish lbs and 28ish inches), it doesn't quite wrap around her as much as I would like. That being said, it's still big enough to do its job, its functionality trumps my other baby towels, and Eva Girl can't get enough of chewing on the silicone tabs. I really wish I had it right from when she was born!

As of now I have been using this towel for almost 2 weeks, and yesterday I had to give Eva an impromptu bath, for reasons too messy to share. I grabbed a regular old towel because it was closest thing to me, and I almost didn't know what to do with it. How do I wrap my baby up in this old thing?? Okay it wasn't that bad, but I sure was missing my Puj Hug!

Growing too fast...

Within the past couple weeks Miss Eva has gotten her two bottom teeth, started crawling (and consequently doing yoga, push-ups & breakdancing poses), and started being a better eater of real food. And now I understand what all the fuss is about babies growing up too fast. Also sometimes she looks like she wears a toupee, due to the fact that only the hair directly on top of her head is growing. It only makes us love her more! At her 6 month check up she tipped the scales at 20 pounds 13 ounces and measured 28 1/2 inches long...in the 98th and 99th percentiles respectively. She's also hilarious.

sometimes I'll leave her sitting up playing with things with her boppy behind her a bit, and then i come back and she's having the best time lounging...

 

sometimes she gets tired of it all...

oh yeah and she has to constantly have something in her mouth. This is her car seat sun shade which she just LOVED eating.

Updates with Eva

First off, I forgot to include this picture with my last post and me and Eva just loved how little the cake was. Next, she loves standing on the couch and playing/eating the cords to our blinds.

I had to show how she sleeps...it must be right next to a pillow...otherwise she continues to toss and turn her head back and forth. And notice when she wakes up her pillows are still sandwiched next to her.

Next we have an outing at her Aunt Spring's house where she loved the bouncer...I am meaning to get her one all her own.

Her hair is growing RAPIDLY, as you can tell from the picture of her in yellow pants.

And Georgie wanted to showcase his new pajamas, with Eva ruining the white placemat on our table. Eva also got new pajamas, and makes awesome faces, and sometimes we make matching faces. She also is a little monkey who likes to pick bugs out of her Daddy's hair.
